If you have the desire to serve, volunteer firefighting may be for you. Departments often utilize community volunteers to assist with the emergency and non-emergency tasks of the department. Volunteer firefighters and EMS personnel focus on training and response activities. Others focus on enabling community members to provide needed support to help their local department run in the administrative and auxiliary sectors.

The Benefits of Volunteering

• Opportunity to learn and build your resume
• Serve your local community
• Build more than just friendships
• A sense of pride
• A flexible schedule for work-life balance
• Great opportunity for career growth
• Leadership roles and skills

Becoming a volunteer firefighter is arguably one of the most rewarding and fulfilling positions you can fill in your community. What’s even more encouraging about it is that it requires little to no experience to get started.

If you are interested in becoming a firefighter and are motivated by an urgent need to serve your community, come learn with us.
