The New Year is just around the corner, and so are the resolutions! If you’re anything like us, it can be hard to keep up with all the change that sweeps through our lives in January. Even though there are a lot of new things that we have to get used to, this time of year can be a great opportunity for looking at what we want out of 2025.

To help you get ready for the new year, here’s things you need to know about getting ready for the New Year:

1. Review your year
It’s important to take time to reflect upon the last year before planning the next. Do a year-end review of your life. Set new goals for the upcoming year. Looking for something to grow your knowledge and confidence? Volunteer with US!

2. Audit your life
What events happened in 2024? Feeling happy, sad, fulfilled? We usually only balance two dimensions of our lives: work and family. Do you want to make personal changes? Can you help your community? You can’t necessarily accomplish everything in one year, but you can prioritize one or two new areas. Volunteer with US!

3. Make a new year’s resolution
Do you believe in setting new resolutions? A hope, wish or desire? You should have good ideas in your life with areas you want to change. Volunteer with US!

4. Plan your year
There’s something about having 12 months of new possibilities laid out in front of you. Set your goal by thinking SMART. Strategic, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time bound. Set timelines and deadlines. Volunteer with US!

5. Create a vision board
A vision board is a visual representation of your goals by using inspirational images and words from magazine depicting your goals. Make sure you place your vision board somewhere you will see it daily. Volunteer with US!

6. Write a mission statement
Do you know what your purpose is in life? By writing a mission statement you are determining what’s important, what type of person you want to be, outlines your values and helps track your progress. Volunteer with US!

7. Make a bucket list
Make a list of everything you’d like to achieve in 2025. Create new habits to keep you on track. Stay motivated and accountable. You need to regularly review your progress. Tidy up your lives by considering your health, finances, organization, and clean out clutter. Start new and fresh. Volunteer with US!

How will you prepare for a successful new year? Volunteering with US! Gear UP! Join the Excitement!
